("Latch," "we," "our," or "us") and govern your use of the Latch mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, downloading, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
2. Description of the Service
Latch provides tools for homeowners to organize property information, maintenance tasks, communications, and service provider interactions. The Service may include reminders, AI-assisted guidance, and related account features. Features may change over time.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the normal operation of the Service.
- Upload or transmit content that infringes third-party rights.
4. User Content
You may submit information, photos, messages, and other content through the Service ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant Latch Solution Inc. a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display User Content solely to operate and improve the Service.
5. Communications
By using the Service, you agree to receive transactional communications related to your account and use of Latch, including push notifications, email, and SMS where applicable. Message and data rates may apply for SMS. You can manage communication preferences in the app when available.
6. No Professional Advice
Information provided through Latch, including AI-generated responses, is for general informational purposes only and is not legal, financial, engineering, or licensed contractor advice. You should consult qualified professionals for decisions affecting your home or safety.
7. Subscription, Fees, and Billing
Certain features may require payment or subscription. Pricing, trial terms, and billing details will be presented at the time of purchase. Unless stated otherwise, payments are non-refundable except where required by law or platform policy.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or if required by law.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LATCH SOLUTION INC. WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and may provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
